Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Connectcz Platforms Inc. (“ConnectCZ”, “we”, “us”) covering your use of the ConnectCZ app and this website. By creating an account or using ConnectCZ, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use ConnectCZ.

1. Who can use ConnectCZ

You must be at least 18 years old. You must not be barred from using the service under the laws of your country, and you must not have been previously removed from ConnectCZ. ConnectCZ is for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Your account

• Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
• One account per person. Do not impersonate anyone or create an account for someone else.
• You are responsible for what happens on your account. Keep access to your phone number and device secure, and tell us promptly if you think someone else is using your account.
• You can delete your account at any time from your settings. See our privacy policy for what happens to your information.

3. Acceptable use

ConnectCZ only works if it stays a decent place to be. Do not:

• harass, threaten, stalk, bully or abuse anyone, or incite others to;
• post content that is hateful, violent, sexually explicit, or that sexualises minors in any way (see our CSAE standards);
• create fake profiles, misrepresent who you are, or post misleading invitations;
• use ConnectCZ to sell, advertise, recruit, solicit donations, or promote a business or commercial agenda;
• post invitations for anything illegal or unsafe;
• share someone else’s private information, or content from ConnectCZ, without their consent;
• scrape, crawl, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service or its security, or access it by automated means.

4. Meeting people in person

ConnectCZ introduces people. It does not vouch for them. We do not conduct criminal background checks or otherwise verify members’ identities or conduct.

• Meet in public places, particularly the first time.
• Tell someone you trust where you are going.
• Use your judgement, and leave if you are uncomfortable. You never owe anyone your continued presence.
• Report anyone who behaves badly, in the app or to support@connectcz.com.

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members, online and in person.

5. Your content

Your content stays yours. To run the service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example to resize a photo) and display your content, for the purpose of operating and improving ConnectCZ. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained in backups for a limited period or where we must keep something for safety or legal reasons.

Only post content you have the right to post. If you believe content on ConnectCZ infringes your copyright, write to support@connectcz.com with enough detail to identify the work and the content, and we will act on it.

We may remove content that breaks these terms, but we are not obliged to monitor or pre-screen what members post.

6. Spaces

A space is a community with a real-world boundary — a workplace, campus or building. Only join a space you genuinely belong to. Content posted to a space is for its members: do not copy it, screenshot it, or repeat it outside that space. We may remove you from a space, or remove a space, if it is misused.

7. Premium subscriptions

ConnectCZ is free to download, and posting and joining invitations is free. We also offer an optional Premium subscription, available monthly or yearly, with the yearly plan discounted.

What Premium includes is shown on the subscription screen in the app before you buy, and may change over time — that screen is always the authoritative list. It typically raises limits such as the number of people you can invite to a plan and the size of your wait list, and adds a badge to your profile.

Prices vary by country and are shown in your local currency in the app before you confirm. They may change; we will not change the price of a term you have already paid for.

Payment, renewal and cancellation.

• You pay through the app store you downloaded ConnectCZ from — the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to that account when you confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• You manage and cancel your subscription in your app store account settings — not in ConnectCZ. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. We can help you find the right place to ask, but we cannot issue a refund for a purchase made through a store.

Advertising. ConnectCZ shows occasional rewarded ads — short optional ads you can watch to carry on with certain things in the app. A Premium subscription removes them. The ads are not personalised: we do not use your personal information to target them, we do not use your device’s advertising identifier, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. Our privacy policy explains this in full.

8. Enforcement and termination

If you break these terms we may warn you, remove content, limit what your account can do, or suspend or close it — and for serious breaches, immediately and without notice. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and how to appeal. You can stop using ConnectCZ and delete your account at any time. Sections 5, 9, 10 and 12 survive the end of this agreement.

9. Disclaimers and liability

ConnectCZ is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may modify or discontinue features.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ConnectCZ will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to these terms or the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or CAD $100.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Disputes

Talk to us first. If you have a problem, email support@connectcz.com. Most things are resolved this way, and we ask that you give us 30 days to try before starting formal proceedings.

If we cannot resolve it, disputes will be settled by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, and you and ConnectCZ each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action — except that either of us may bring a claim in small claims court, and except where this is not enforceable where you live, in which case this paragraph does not apply to you.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country.

11. App store terms

Your use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement, and your use of the Android app to Google Play’s terms. Apple and Google are not parties to this agreement and are not responsible for ConnectCZ, but they may enforce it as third-party beneficiaries.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the “last updated” date above, and for significant changes we will give you notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use ConnectCZ after that means you accept the new terms.
